Statement from Manny Rutinel on Reports of Election Monitors in Adams County

THORNTON, CO – Following reporting that the Department of Justice will descend on Adams County on Election Day, Manny Rutinel, Democratic nominee for Colorado's 8th Congressional District, shared the following statement:

“Every eligible voter deserves to cast a ballot freely, safely and without intimidation. Our local election workers should be able to do their job without interference, and I’m deeply concerned by reports that the Justice Department will descend on Adams County. The DOJ must explain to voters why they have singled out Adams County. We’re continuing our voter protection efforts to ensure that every eligible voter can make their voice heard.”
