Manny Rutinel Raises First $1 Million From 23,000+ Unique Donors in Six Weeks
COMMERCE CITY, COLO. — Tues., March 11, 2025 — State Representative Manny Rutinel (D-Commerce City) announced today that his campaign has crossed a major milestone six weeks after launching, raising over $1 million from more than 23,000 individual donors with an average contribution of under $35 — a powerful testament to the grassroots strength behind his bid for Colorado's 8th Congressional District.
“This campaign is powered by everyday people who believe in building an economy that works for working families, like the one I grew up in,” said Rutinel. “This campaign isn’t about billionaires—it’s about thousands of hardworking people chipping in whatever they can because they know we need leadership that puts people first.”
Manny’s campaign is fueled by small-dollar contributions from teachers, nurses, small business owners, and other Coloradans. Over 99% of donations have been under $100, demonstrating the broad coalition of support that will be necessary to win this seat in November 2026.
