ICYMI: “Rutinel CD-8 Campaign Takes Him into Broncos Country”

WESTMINSTER, CO– Yesterday, Manny Rutinel, Democratic nominee for Colorado's 8th Congressional District, hosted a watch party at Westminster’s Backyard Sports Lounge for the Broncos as they came back from 17-0 to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars. During the game, Rutinel spoke with fellow rabid Broncos fans about their most pressing issues including the cost of living crisis, cuts to Medicaid, and blatant corruption occurring in Washington.

More from The Brighton Blade:

  • Congressional candidate Manny Rutinel says he wants to find more common ground for people to gather in a badly divided country.
  • “So what’s a better place to get people together than the Broncos?” Rutinel said Sunday as a rowdy crowd cheered on the Broncos at Westminster’s Backyard Sports Lounge.
  • Rutinel’s staff set up a watch party for Broncos fans at the bar so Rutinel could meet and talk to prospective voters and get their ideas on pressing issues. Plus, the idea of cheering on the Broncos seems like a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon, he said.
  • “I want to create a community, and bring people together,” Rutinel said. “This is a good place to start.”
  • “He stands for everything I believe in,” [Brighton resident Gary] Livingston said. “He says what he means, and he doesn’t get rattled.”
