Thank you, Neighbor!
Grateful for you
I’ve been reflecting on how grateful I am for dedicated neighbors like you. Thank you for everything you do for our community and country. I hope your holidays are filled with rest, joy, and peace, and I sincerely look forward to seeing you in the new year.
I’m grateful that I’ll be spending my holidays with my partner and mom—my two favorite people.
I am my mother’s son. Not a day goes by that I’m not in awe of her capacity for sacrifice and love. She immigrated to the United States from Latin America as a single mother to give my brother and me a better life. She taught me the power of perseverance, a strong work ethic, and being a practical problem solver.
My mom also showed me the injustice of being forced to choose between paying rent or receiving healthcare. Nobody should be forced to make that choice in the world's richest nation. And my heart goes out to all of the folks who will be struggling even more this holiday season because of the terrible decisions of our current government.
I always look forward to our holiday traditions. For Christmas, that means dancing along to Christmas songs and singing at the top of our lungs as we decorate the tree, and a dinner where my mom insists on serving me food until I can’t move. For New Year’s, it means a series of good-luck rituals for the upcoming year and reminiscing on stories of our loved ones who we’ve lost over the years—like my grandparents, who never missed an opportunity to feed hungry neighbors and taught me the importance of community and taking care of your neighbor
I’m so grateful for everyone who has stepped up to fight for our communities and nation over the last year. Our campaign has received over $2.4 million from over 40,000 individual donors, received endorsements from over 80 elected officials, and garnered over 50 million views on social media. Your support also helped us donate 10,000 meals to food banks during the government shutdown, when Trump stopped sending food assistance to hungry families. I couldn’t have done it without you and our community. And because of you and our community, we’re well on our way to taking back the House by flipping this seat blue.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish you the absolute best this holiday season. If there’s anything I can do to make your holiday season even better, please give me a call or text me at 970-714-3611. You can also email me at manny@mannyforcolorado.com.
